Beowulf Rehearsal Shots

After a busy summer and a minor hiccup with my website (thanks Talktalk!), I now have a bit of time on my hands - and how better to fill it than to resurrect my long neglected blog.  Which btw is now in a brand new place: (again, thanks Talktalk!).

So here are some rehearsal shots I took of Chris Thorpe's new version of Beowulf which has just opened at the Unicorn Theatre.  Directed by Justin Audibert and starring Debbie Korley, it's a modern, heavy rock inspired adaptation of the ancient poem, with an original electro-infused soundtrack created by Danny Saul, played live and loud.  All pretty cool!  Most of the time I shoot productions at their dress rehearsals, and I love it if I get the opportunity to shoot them earlier in the rehearsal process, when it's a work in progress and everything is still a bit raw and unfinished.  For more information or to book tickets, go to the Unicorn Theatre's website.
