The Sweet Science of Bruising

I’ve just head that ‘The Sweet Science of Bruising’, a new play by Joy Wilkinson that I had the pleasure of shooting at the end of last year, has transferred to the Wilton’s Music Hall for a run this June. Considering it is set in the world of female boxing of the late 1860s, I think Wilton’s is the ideal venue! The original production, directed by Kirsty Patrick Ward, was nominated for an off West End award for best new play, and had a very successful run at the Southwark Playhouse. Designed by Anna Reid, it was a visually rich, atmospheric production and a real treat to photograph. Here’s a selection of my production shots.
